ABOUT ME

My love of words and language goes as far back as I can remember. One of my earliest school-age memories is pulling out my grammar notebook and hunting for the errors hidden within each sentence. Solving these puzzles was so fun for a word-nerd like me! My love of grammar led me to diagramming sentences, writing poetry, and devouring a wide array of books.

I continue to fine-tune my love of the English language and use my knowledge and expertise to help perfect my clients' writing pieces.

My goals:

  • help authors polish their manuscripts while maintaining their unique voice.

  • help businesses ensure their message is clear, concise, free of errors, and consistent with their brand.

WHY DO YOU NEED AN EDITOR?

Good writing comes from good editing. A professional editor does more than correct mistakes; they can help you preserve your voice and perfect your craft! Here are 5 reasons to hire a professional editor:

1. SAVES YOU TIME

An editor will save you hours, or even days of precious time. Instead of reading and rereading your work, you will be free to move on to your next project knowing your content is being edited in a timely and accurate manner.

2. A FRESH AND OBJECTIVE VIEWPOINT

Whether you're up against a deadline and need a quick press release or spent months crafting a thesis, it can be difficult to edit your own work. A fresh and objective pair of eyes can more easily see any overlooked issues. As a professional editor, I will not hesitate to share critiques in order to ensure your piece is as strong as possible. I will work with you to make any improvements necessary while also upholding the integrity, content, and voice of the piece.

3. INCREASE BUSINESS GROWTH AND SALES

Whether you're a self publishing author or running a business, mistakes and inconsistencies may inhibit your sales. When you're publishing a novel, short story, article, or even producing website or blog content, it is important that your message is clear, credible, and effective. An editor will help to make sure you have chosen the best words to communicate your message.

4. EXPAND YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

If you're a new author pursuing traditional publishing, working with a freelance editor first could increase your chances of being picked up by a publisher.

5. HELP PERFECT YOUR CRAFT

A professional editor not only fixes mistakes, but will help you perfect your writing. I will reveal errors and style issues you may not have noticed. I will also show you ways to correct and improve your work, in order to refine your writing ability.
